For all the lovers out there and the many, many great people that there are (billions at last count I’m sure), this one’s for you. Wherever you are, I hope that things are better than they could be, on this, Armistice Day (I hadn’t forgotten).
And that means that this is also – more importantly on this date – for troops the world over, their families and friends. Both of my grandfathers fought in the the Second World War. Both survived and…so my parents and I exist. My grandmothers had their own parts to play as well, which I’m more than proud of. My unreserved thanks goes to each of them and my, at times business, pales in comparison to their work form 1939-1945, and to the work that is ongoing the world over by servicemen and women.
And the lyrics…
sweet disposition
never too soon
oh reckless abandon
like no one’s
watching you
a moment, a love
a dream, a laugh
a kiss, a cry
our rights, our wrongs
a moment, a love
a dream, a laugh
a moment, a love
a dream, a laugh
chorus
just stay there
cause i’ll be comin over
and while our bloods still young
it’s so young
it runs
and we won’t stop til it’s over
won’t stop to surrender
songs of desperation
I played them for you
a moment, a love
a dream, a laugh
a kiss, a cry
our rights, our wrongs
a moment, a love
a dream, a laugh
a moment, a love
a dream, a laugh
chorus:
just stay there
cause i’ll be comin over
and while our bloods still young
it’s so young
it runs
and we won’t stop til it’s over
won’t stop to surrender
a moment, a love
a dream, a laugh
a kiss, a cry
our rights, our wrongs (won’t stop til it’s over)
a moment, a love
a dream, a laugh
a kiss, a cry
our rights, our wrongs(won’t stop til it’s over)
a moment, a love
a dream, a laugh
a kiss, a cry
our rights, our wrongs (won’t stop til it’s over)
a moment, a love
a dream, a laugh
a moment, a love
a moment, a love (won’t stop to surrender)
