I hadn’t heard of Sparklehorse or even knew Mark Linkous had existed until about ten minutes ago. It’s taken me eight of those to become captivated by Dreamt For Lightyears In The Belly Of A Mountain, the 2006 and final album of the band powered by Mr Linkous.

Incredible that I never heard and tragic that he should have taken his own life on Saturday. But that such beautiful creativity lives on for people like me to find and enjoy is a touching tribute. RIP Mark Linkous. I never knew of you and have barely scratched the surface of your music. But now I do and so I will.
