You know, I very nearly put something about that in there. I'm not sure exactly why, but I'm going to go with 'No'. There's the flattery aspect, but there's a further rational aspect that I can't quite verbalise at the moment.

Oftentimes I've thought about publishing scans of my own notes for whatever. E.G., when I review a movie or TV show, my notes can be pretty entertaining. More entertaining than the actual review, anyway, because I use more shorthand and weird chunks of phrase. If anyone cared, I'd start doing that, but... I know my place, you know? I'll keep the notebooks to myself until then.

I think the important thing for creativity and for the creator is to be open to inspiration, whatever it may be. If you want to do a million things, then do them all and see what sticks. That sort of thing. The day of the writer who writes for So and So Magazine only is pretty much over; the day of the writer who writes for So and So Magazine, So and So Dot Com, and his own personal stuff while contributing videos and podcasts and whatnot to So and So Dot Com is upon us. Not that that's anything I didn't say over at SB; more of a general "Don't be too bummed out; you can still scratch out a living by being creative" message.
